Sporty touches and eclectic prints were part of the Fall 2014 trends from New York fashion week. No matter if it was taken from cultural areas or from outdoor activities the inspiration for this items made designers push forward a large range of wearable items.

There is something special about this collection, which celebrates its 40th anniversary. Inspired by the “Bohemian Rhapsody” it contains an interesting combination of sporty chic in splashing colorsable to add a touch of glamour to all the items.

Even if at the beginning it accentuates somber notes, the collection expands to more vivid colors such as an amazing royal blue, a strong fuchsia, Bordeaux and a few orange notes.

Many outfits have eclectic motifs and interesting prints and some of them are accessorized with fur handbags. Prints and colors make the female silhouette look even more alluring.

The artificial snow-covered runway, the cool beanie hats, the wedge boots and the bomber jackets make us think about an alpine landscape.

Tommy Hilfiger knows how to adjust his collection to the season, taking his inspiration from the outdoors. He used many alpine motifs such as plaid shirts and turtleneck sweaters but also cable knit ponchos.

The Big Apple was the inspiration of this line, and even the name suggests it. The line has an interesting mixture of pieces and trends, so you can find both leather pants or faux fur.

Donna Karan wanted to stand out so she presented the casual sporty chic in a more city style shape. The collection is both cheerful and edgy, and it includes varsity jackets, sweatshirts, skirts, and statement coats with the collection’s logo printed on them.

The designer was inspired by survivalwear  and daring outdoor activities such as mountain climbing and camping. This is why he brought back the comfy boots and a multitude of layers and used daring tones with interesting prints on boxy silhouettes. The practical touches were also present on coats with many pockets to replace handbags and purses.

This line definitely stands out thanks to the Northern African land whose culture, landscape and textiles have been an inspiration. The designer created flowing maxi dresses with vivacious prints, lovely topcoats,sweatshirts, caftans and fringed ponchos with stunning motifs.

Bohemian combinations of fluid fabrics and superb prints but also bold colors make this collection one loved by the free spirited romantic woman.
