New York Fashion Week had just ended and it left lots of topics to discuss and many items to look forward for the next fall. Shoes were designed with comfort and practical sense in mind by the world’s best fashion designers, so there are many models to choose from and wear on daily basis.
Equestrian Inspiration Boots
Alexander Wang proposed long leather boots, inspired by the equestrian boots. Black and brown, with a white heel and sole, these are practical and can be worn both with dresses or skirts and with jeans. MM6 also presented high leather boots, from the same inspiration source, but this time made of a matte leather, which can also be versatile.
Half-boot, Half Sandals
Heel-level boots were mixed with sandals to obtain a new fashionable shoe, which inspired many designers. Altuzarra presented a black, leather model, while Alexandre Herchcovitch brought on the catwalk a red model, with visible stitches. Country boots were the starting point when this model was created. Michael Kors brought a brown, snake leather patterned shoes, with a cut out tip.
Sneakers and Flats
Sneakers were re-designed and presented as half sandals or as all-white shoes, made of snake leather, without laces. Helmut Lang got inspiration from sneakers and created a white and nude leather-made shoe with a thick sole.
Flats were not forgotten as Kate Spade presented a black pair, with leopard animal print front detail. The fabric of chose was leather. Marc by Marc Jacobs also presented his flats with multiples frontal straps.
Proenza Schouler mixed suede bright electric blue with black leather and created a pair of flats which can really make a statement.
Tanya Tailor presented a simple and elegant pair of flats, all black and white stripes and a fluffy dangling detail which adds a sense of playfulness to the whole outfit.
All weather boots still stand high on the catwalk, as Calvin Klein presented a green suede model, half-laced. Marc Jacobs presented a brown boot with a silver details, suitable for any rainy day.
J. Crew came with an elegant model of stiletto heels, half black, half black and white zig-zag patterns, simple, yet sophisticated.
Prabal Gurung’s minimal stilettos worth to be mentioned as they were made of dark green and blue leather, embellished with Arabic necklace model around the heel. Rodarte got patriotic inspiration and created simple, but effective metallic blue stilettos, decorated with golden stars. The heel is bright red.
Narciso Rodriguez presented a black leather stiletto with a single leather strap around the heel, which makes them an elegant choice.
