The Milan fashion Week always comes with new concepts and it sets the tune for next year’s spring and early summer. In this case the designers went back to the 70’s for inspiration and came up with flirty footwear in disco styles and, in many cases, with neon hues.
The collection of Prada wash characterized by tropical playfulness. The footwear presented seemed to be out of this world. The shoes that caught the eyes of the guests were the swirling wedges. However, the woven additions of the other shoes seemed interesting as well.
The fans of Jimmy Choo will not be disappointed in the brightly hued sandals that usually come with straps. These shoes accompanied the collections of Rimondi and Aquilano. Since the clothes have been inspired by the 70’s, it is just natural that the shoes also have a retro touch.
The designer is known for her pastoral vision. She decided to give the gladiator sandal a spin and turn it into a feminine piece through adding crocheted details which make it delicate. This way this kind of footwear will become suitable even for the girls with a more romantic and feminine style.
Blugirl gave a definition of feminine look. The pieces that the designers came up with featured a lot of polka dots, ruffles, and naturally the bows couldn’t miss either. The majority of the pieces are just perfect for prom or other formal events that are begging for a stunning pair of shoes.
Animal prints have been in the focus of the Blumarine collection. The leopard print has been used on several of the pieces. The print has been paired with peep-toe boots and sandals that all came with unique grommets that enhanced their retro feel.
The designers had a more aggressive approach towards footwear. The sandals offered come with chunky heels. The details are meant to bring out the toughness in women: swinging chain-like embellishments and other edgy additions. These shoes are something like Rihanna would be wearing.
D&G focused more on the softer side of women. The shoes that they presented are just perfect for a garden party. Tea length dresses are just perfect with these shoes. However, it is important to keep the rest of the look simple and let the shoes take the scene.
Since there are so many choices, choosing one single pair can be torture.
