The film noir heroines were surely a source of inspiration for all the designers in the upcoming fashion season. Skirts combined with defined jackets, bold colors and interesting cuts are all part of the trend. The full skirts in bright colors and patterns were matched with fitted tops with underlined waistline, reinventing the concept of feminine mystery. Celine , Prada, Rochas and Dior exploited the trend in all its beauty.
Checks and much more
Checkerboard like patterns rocked the runways for fall 2013. Pinstripes, fishbone and houndstooth were combined with spectacular haberdashery for a daring but also somewhat traditional look. Calvin Klein’s classic cut and Billy Reid spectacular outfits are something to keep in mind for this trend. In case you want a more elegant touch consider Dolce&Gabbana or Emanuel Ungaro.
Knits, crochet and fur
Crafts are once again all over the fall trends. In 2013 we can combine them with fur, leather, long skirts and high boots. Mike Jacobs encourages you to wear nothing but a pullover and a fox around your neck but if you plan to be a bit more conservatory, you can always look into Ralph Lauren and Philip Lim.
As coats go this fall has a multitude of options. From oversized to fur only, from masculine to candy color the variety is immense. Blocks of colors and graphic elements, shiny leather and surprising embellishments make the coat a spectacular outfit. Alexander Wang and Stella McCarthy chose a classic approach while Marni and Chloe went for a more feminine touch.
The green in all its darker shades was a star on the New York catwalks. The fall brings beautiful nuances where elaborate outfits come in rich shades reminding of the forests from the far north. The trend is extremely spectacular especially because it comes in a lot of interesting fabric combinations surprisingly easy to wear. You can find the trend at Calvin Klein, Michael Kors and Philip Lim.
