Keeping in line with the dress code guidelines of the awards committee, Grammy Awards 2013 saw some high-octane outfits grace the red carpet. Here are the latest trends displayed by celebrities for the award night.
Red was the color that dominated the red carpet at Grammys this year. Star singer Adele departed from her trademark black dresses and opted for the latest Valentino floral embroidered red dress. She paired it well with minimal accessories and sensible makeup. The lady literally graced the occasion. She was followed by Rihanna who ditched her sheer gowns for a matured looking Azzedine Alaïa number.
Gowns with slits continued to make its presence on the red carpet with many takers such as Jennifer Lopez taking the trophy for the widest slit. The best ones however came from Taylor Swift who wore a J. Mendel white gown and Solange Knowles who looked resplendent in an emerald, Ralph & Russo Couture.
From Allison Williams to Alicia Keys, a number of singers chose black for the awards night. Allison wowed the shutterbugs with her black diamond-encrusted Kaufmanfranco column dress. Faith Hill was seen wearing a part sheer cocktail dress from J. Mendel. Kelly Osbourne, Carrie Underwood and Carly Jepsen were other celebrities wearing black ensembles.
Three Piece Suits
Tuxedo queen Janelle Monae wore it best with gold encrusted lapels complete with the hat and all. Carey Mulligan on the other hand looked stunning in a Lanvin 3 piece accessorized in gold hued clutch and neck piece. Beyonce sported her fit body in a figure hugging Osman jumpsuit.
Floor length gowns included the mint green number from top singer Katy Perry. She paired it well with matching Adler jewelry. We also spotted Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman in a gold lace gown by Vera Wang and accessorized it with Fred Leighton jewelry.
