Grey as the Season’s Favorite

Where Calvin Klein went for concrete grey Alexander went in for the marl option. Grey woolen tights by Pringle were the star attraction of the show.

Delicate and intricate, this style of dressing is difficult to achieve. Only master tailors can come out with a perfect swag. Crafted in delicate silk and jersey fabric, swags are the perfect solution to modern day evening wear. Some of the designers who managed to get great pieces in place for the show include Prabal Gurung, Helmut Lang and Jason Wu.
Ankle Length Trousers
Tapered ankle length trousers are the best creations that happened this year. It is for those with a flattering figure. Choose from Vera Wang’s floral and brocade pants to turn heads.
Floor Sweeping Hemlines
These elongated versions of the maxi gowns will not only highlight your waist line but also keep you warm during the cold season. Designers such as Donna Karan, Rachael Zoe and Christopher Kane showcased their long gowns in their ramp walks.
Power dressing never got this serious. The Reed Krakoff pre collection highlighted the masculine inspired designs in their formal winter wear collection for women. The slim waist and long leg length is what stood out among many other features of this piece.
This year the pencil skirts will just get a little more fashionable if anything. Broad pleats will adorn the stretch fabrics that will be used for maximizing on comfort. Some designers went for double vents to give more room for movement, while retaining the cylindrical shape.
