The fashion house set the ramp ablaze with Marc Jacobs’ novel geometric patterns. The show that began with a bang was wrapped up in just 10 minutes. Models walked in pairs, dressed in contrasting checkered garments. Each pair wore the same colored checkered outfits in different styles (lengths we mean). Skirts, pants, gowns and dresses; name it and it was there.

Versatility from Chanel

This time around the master weaver designed so many garments for the show that there was something for everyone. The highlight of the show remained a hula hoop bag carried by a model in a matching dress. The size of the bag was as big as the loop and no one could miss this one. Everyone was left wondering how to lug this tote around.

Wearable Fashion from Yves Saint Laurent

Designer Hedi Slimane managed to pull off a very well received show for the fashion house. The show maintained a subtle distinction in the display of wearable fashion from the party ones. Small floral prints and shades of black were the favorite fabric designs of the designer for this collection. Wide brim hats were another common factor among all the creations.

Sheer and Lace from Valentino

The trend continued this season too but this time around the lace work had more architectural shapes. Knee length dresses and skirts were the highlight of their collection. Lace skirts were paired aesthetically with satin and silk formal shirts to cater to the minimalists too. Even the party gowns had seamless designs and looked elegant.

Keeping in line with the central theme of the season, Valli based his designs on the delicate balance of feminine and masculine outfits. Neutral palettes, sheer fabrics and distinct day wear dresses were the style statement displayed by Valli on the ramp for the season.
