Open Season Trend: Upbeat Ways to Look Sexy with Lace
As an influence of last year’s season, it is very likely that you will see cut out items. Nonetheless this time the fashion world has taken things one step further and the designers have also added lace to make the items even more feminine.
What about lace?
For sure you know that lace is suitable for every season, but this time we aren’t talking about lightweight, fragile, sheer, boring lace. No, we are referring to the large-scale, structured lace that apparently gives the clothing even more personality.
The designs that the designers have come up with are fabulously girly. For sure you know that the floral is a major trend now and the designers decided to mix the two trends.
This is why in many cases lace comes in the shape of big, daring flowers. This is a trend that will make people turn their heads.
To achieve the ultimate feminine look, consider rocking a pencil skirt of this kind along with an ombre or sorbet floral top. On the runways, you may have seen daring textures and prints.
Nonetheless it is possible that none of those items work out for you and in this case consider wearing a silk-charmeuse blouse to pull off the lacy skirt.
In case you would like to have something delicate and versatile in the same time, go for a cropped lace jacket. This would look amazing with a dress for brunch or you can match it with a pair of wide leg trousers. Also you have the possibility to rock it with denim and a T-shirt for a casual and relaxed outing.
Follow the trend
There is a lot that the designers could do with a fabric of this kind. It all started in the fall when Yohji Yamamoto added olive colored lace over a top dress, making the feminine fabric look somewhat sporty. Rochas also went for a more modern approach creating a short-sleeved little black dress adding black lace, making the fabric look more formal.
The trend officially appeared on the runways this spring when Sarah Burton, a designer of Alexander McQueen brand created a collection of lace. This came with tiered and short babydolls that had a coquettish vibe to them. There were also some more shocking items, such as the dresses with skirts made entirely out of tulle and that came with lace bodices.
To make sure that the collection will have a major impact on the fashion world, the designer also added face masks made of lace that have been inspired by the world of fetish. Naturally these aren’t really the items that we can expect to see on regular people.
If you are looking for something more wearable, take a look at the dresses that come with lace, such as the one that has been worn by Blake Lively. Such dresses are youthful, feminine and cute in the same time, and they are suitable for just any girl that cares about fashion and wants to be trendy.
