We’ve all seen the cleavage baring, figure hugging variety of clothing that Ms Beyonce Knowles seems to favor. If you’ve seen one single music video of hers, you’ll know what we mean.
Now teens will have the chance to own designs by Ms Knowles and her mother Tina Knowles which will include sportswear, coats, handbags, shoes, eyewear, lingerie and jewelry by way of a new junior apparel label, Sasha Fierce for Deréon.
I Am… Sasha Fierce is the third solo album by the songstress launched in November of Last year and supposedly her latest design line is to reflect the edgier and aggressive persona Sasha Fierce. As described in the media, Sasha Fierce is the sensual, aggressive alter ego of the R&B diva.
Currently the response from the public, to the launch of the new design label is not exactly positive; if parents’ reactions count for anything. More than one parent has described the clothes as trashy; not something they would want their girls to be wearing.
If the new line means studded shoes; oversized “movie star” sunglasses; one-shoulder dresses, black bodysuits, faux leather jackets with dramatic collars and jeans with mesh and lace detailing, then we can safely assume that not a lot of parents are going to let their teens go to school in any of that!
